   Viridian Green Color

   True viridian is a deep chromium-oxide pigment that French chemist Charles-Ernest Guignet patented as a cheaper process in 1859, decades after Pannetier first prepared it in Paris around 1838. This Viridian Green is its faint, watered-down ghost, a pale blue-green like frosted sea glass. The tint keeps the cool bluish bias of the original pigment.
